About Our Porcelain
About Our Porcelain
Each MCK porcelain piece is handmade out of bright, white porcelain clay. Porcelain is renowned for its smooth, refined texture, making it a favorite among artisans and collectors alike. Known for its purity and strength, porcelain is a type of clay composed of kaolin, feldspar, and quartz, which provide its distinctive characteristics. Porcelain’s remarkable properties provide a durable finish to create long-lasting, heirloom-worthy pieces.
Care Guide
Care Guide
From our FAQ:
All pieces are dishwasher safe. If you place items in the dishwasher, make sure they are not in contact with other items. We recommend washing larger items (such as platters) by hand using soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid using scrubbing pads or abrasives that could damage the glaze or surface.
Be mindful of impact. Handmade pottery is crafted with care, but it is still susceptible to chips or cracks if dropped or knocked. Handle with care and keep pottery away from high-traffic areas where accidental impact is more likely.
Our pottery is also microwave-safe. However, we recommend avoiding sudden temperature changes to maintain the integrity of your pottery (e.g., don’t take it from a hot microwave directly into cold water).
